Meet the Instructor
Charlotte Williams
As someone who grew up around horses from a young age, I knew my passion was going to be sharing my knowledge and love of horses with others. I started my riding journey at the age of 7 and have never looked back since. I grew up riding at a local lesson barn. I spent a lot of time there working with the green, learning horses and the young horses which gave me valuable experiences and training tools. I took a young horse from the ground all the way up to winning on the local hunter circuits. I also started teaching at the lesson barn I grew up riding at when I was 16 working with the very beginners giving them a solid foundation. I then went to college at Virginia Tech where I learned more about equitation and dressage and got to work with nice young horses. During college I got the eventing bug and started to compete more in jumpers and started to get my feet wet in eventing. After college I immediately went back to teaching lessons and realized I wanted to make a career out of teaching lessons. I have been full time teaching lessons ever since. I currently am teaching out of the beautiful Sleipnir Stables in Warrenton VA. I still actively compete in both jumpers and eventing at both the local BHSA/VHSA and USEF/USHJA/USEA level. My belief is a solid foundation will help any one in any discipline that they choose whether it be high showing aspirations or just having a good time with a horse.
